TERRY DUBE - MANAGER
Hi, my name is Terry and I have been the manager of CJ's since 1998. I started here in May 1997 as an air conditioning technican and soon was asked if I would like to manage the business. My automotive career started in high school working for an auto parts store at night and on the weekends for a local garage. When I graduated I joined the army for a 4 year stint. After receiving an honorable discharge I went back into the automotive field and found myself bouncing from shop to shop trying to find an honest, quality business where I could hang my hat and be proud to call home. It took a lot of searching but when I was hired at CJ's in May of 97 and I saw the compassion and integrity in which my boss John ran his business I knew that I was home.
DENNIS BAER - REBUILDER
Hello, My name is Dennis and I've been doing automotive repair here in Dunnellon for over 20 years - way back when full service Amoco gas was still around. Remember when washing windshields, checking oil, and tires was a common practice? Times are changing and so are the vehicles we drive. Since then I've moved on to CJ'S Transmissions and really enjoy the new type of work. I've been here at CJ'S for almost 12 years now,started as a repair tech,and worked my way up to rebuilding transmissions. CJ'S still has that work ethic to go the extra mile for the customer, just like the old days. I'm ASE & ATRA certified in transmissions and gaining more knowledge with every year that goes by.
John Giovagnoni - Owner
Hi my name is John, and my wife and I are the owners of CJ's. I moved from New York to Florida in 1986. I was originally a machinist by trade, but my love of cars led me to develop an interest in transmissions. After many classes and seminars on the subject I decided to venture out and opened CJ's in 1989. I continue to further my education in the automotive industry becoming ATRA and ASE certified, two highly respected organizations in the automotive community. Myself, as all the techinicans at CJ's attend regular seminars and educational classes. I have served as the president of sportsman's sertoma for 2 years as well as supporting many community projects. The towns of Dunnellon, Crystal River, Floral City, Inverness, Inglis and Ocala have been very good to us in the 20 years we have been in business here and we try our best to give back to the community whenever we can. Myself and my employees are committed to providing quality automotive service with honesty and integrity.
Daniel Taylor - Shop Foreman and Lead Builder
Hello, my name is Daniel Taylor and I am the shop foreman and lead builder at CJ's. Growing up around drag racing and an automotive family, mechanics always came naturally to me. I started my first mechanical job 18 years ago in Ohio and found out quickly that this was my calling. In a continuing effort to learn more I attend classes and seminars to be the best in my field. In 1998 I moved to Florida and became ASE and ATRA certified. After receiving my certifications and searching for the right job I found that so many shops only guessed at problems instead of diagnosing to find the underlying cause. This practice usually results in costing the customer more time and money. In looking for an honest shop, I found CJ's and met John. After talking to him I knew that I could learn a lot from his over 20 years experience and that he really cared about is customers and doing the job right. It is this caring and the family atmosphere that motivates me to treat every customer as I would a member of my own family.
Clay Ullman - Remove & Reinstall Technician
My name is Clay and I was born and raised in Southern Maryland where I was a technician for 11 years. I moved to FLorida in 2005 to be closer to my family. I worked at a few so-called transmission shops in the area but didn't like how unprofessional they were. I've been at CJ's for a year now and am really impressed at how professional they are and how happy their customer's are because there are no short cuts at CJ's, everything is diagnosed and given the proper attention that is needed.
